Each search involves a unique, customized process and ongoing communication. With fifteen years of executive search experience, we are experts in finding you the best candidate. Some search projects conclude quickly, others take several months, but the end result is always the same – a high quality candidate for you, our client.

 
 

Preparation
We begin the search process as soon as you retain us. We meet with you to gain a thorough understanding of company goals and objectives, position and performance expectations, organizational structure, cultural fit and skill requirements. We develop your ideal candidate profile to meet your needs and goals.

Position Spec
Based upon our discussions, we prepare a position specification defining the company and organization, the job, performance expectations, and skill requirements. The “position spec” is an important document. The spec is reviewed and approved by you, and then is shown to all potential candidates.

Research
At the beginning of a search project, we develop a research plan targeting specific companies and then develop pathways to identify top talent in your specific market. We use our own extensive network of sources, databases, directories, and third party research professionals to gather a group of preliminary candidates.

Candidate Development
Following the research phase, we review the preliminary candidates (usually about 100 to 200 individuals), contact them directly, explain the position, develop initial interest, gather background information, and determine if there is a possible fit. If there is not, we ask them for possible candidate recommendations. If there is a fit, we sell the position aggressively. This point is important. We are recruiters, and the best people in the market are called regularly and need to hear about your opportunity convincingly. In other words, we sell your position to the appropriate candidates.

Preliminary Candidate Group
As we develop, review and rank our group of potential candidates, regular communication with you is imperative. We discuss this information with you in detail. This exercise serves to confirm that the potential candidates meet your qualifications. In addition, this is the opportune time to address current market compensations. During this interactive phase of the search process, your input and feedback are critical.

Screening, References, and Interviewing
Once the preliminary candidate group is evaluated, we thoroughly screen the most promising candidates, conduct preliminary reference checks, and compile detailed compensation histories and expectations. The resulting candidate profiles are submitted to you for your review, and interviews are scheduled. We arrange all candidate interviews for you and obtain feedback from you and the candidates.

Selection and Closing
We assist you in making your final candidate selection and, more importantly, we help close the candidate. This is the most critical phase of the search. Diplomacy and finesse are essential when enticing a successful candidate from his/her job. Having closed hundreds of searches, this is where our recruiting expertise pays off tremendously.

Follow-Up
Once the successful candidate is hired, we communicate with you and the candidate to ensure all expectations have been met. This is the most satisfying aspect of executive search – a win / win conclusion for everyone.
