Farnsworth led the formation of Farnsworth Search Group in the
fall of 2002. Prior to this, John served as a Managing Director
and Co-Head of the Investment Management Practice at Korn Ferry
International for three years. Prior to Korn/Ferry, John was a
Managing Partner with two well-known executive search firms.
He
has a broad base in financial services executive search, including
senior assignments in investment management, banking and the private
client arena. Assignments have included senior investment positions
such as CIOs, portfolio managers, senior analysts and client service
specialists. He has extensive experience on the marketing side
of the investment business as well, including institutional and
high net worth positions.
Prior
to executive recruiting, Mr. Farnsworth was Senior Vice President
and Head of U.S. Private Banking for Bank of America in San Francisco.
Before Bank of America, he served in a variety of senior management
positions with Chemical Bank in New York and London.
Mr.
Farnsworth holds an MBA in finance from the Amos Tuck School at
Dartmouth College as well as an undergraduate degree from Dartmouth.
